Governor Ibikunle Amosun, reverse neglect of Yewa

This is a most passionate appeal to Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State to speedily come to the rescue of the people of Yewa who have been neglected by the state government over the years.
It is as if the Yewa people committed any treasonable act by belonging to the state as there is no sign of government presence in the area. In fact, Yewa people and their communities have suffered untold neglect from the Amosun administration since inception.

For instance, the road from Itasin to Isaga Orile, which is the only one that connects motorists to Joga Orile, Iboro, and Imasai communities is in a very deplorable condition that demands the urgent intervention of the state government.

As a result of the bad state of the road, the few rickety commercial vehicles and buses that ply the route rip off the commuters by charging exhorbitant transport fares. For a journey that would take N200, commuters are forced to cough up N600, and that is when they are lucky to be conveyed. Others who are not ready to risk their vehicles have since moved to other areas.

All our pleas to the Abeokuta North Local Government Area and the state government to help rebilitate the road amounted to nothing. We are suffering. Please, help us, Mr Governor.
