31-Year-Old Man Docked Over Alleged Malicious Damage In Ajibawo Ota, Ogun State

A 31-year-old man, Nwosu Patrick, who allegedly damaged an uncompleted four-bedroom flat, was on Tuesday brought before an Ota Magistrates ‘ Court in Ogun.



Patrick, whose address is not stated, is facing a charge of malicious damage.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Rosemary Samson, told the court that the accused committed the offence on Nov. 2 at about 1.40 p. m, at No. 22, Idlroko Road, Ajibawo, Ota.

Samson said the accused unlawfully damaged an uncompleted four-bedroom flat belonging to one Babatunde Omotosho.

She said the accused contravened Section 455 of the Criminal Code, Vol. 1, Laws of Ogun, 2006.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Magistrate, Mrs B. S. Abdulsalam, admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N200, 000 with two sureties in like sum.

She ordered that the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and be gainfully employed, with evidence of tax payment to the Ogun Government.

The case was adjourned until Nov. 19, for further hearing.
