Nestle commissions water, school projects in Ogun communities | @Nestle

As part of events to mark this year’s World Water Day, Nestle Nigeria has commissioned water projects in four communities in Ogun state.

Each of the communities, which included Areke village, Bara village, Nawair-Ud-Deen (NUD) Primary School, Owode Egba and Alamala Military Barracks got a borehole,
fetching bay with two 2,000 litres overhead tanks and a standby gasoline generator to power the borehole.

In addition to the borehole, the company also renovated NUD pry school’s block of classrooms and the head teacher’s office, built a new toilet block, play ground with games facilities, football pitch and a hardworking station.

Speaking at the commissioning of the community water projects, Nestlé Flowergate Factory Manager, Mr. Ibukun Ipinmoye, said the four new water facilities would go a long way to reduce the burden of families who travel long distances to find water.
